16th Biannual Conference of the Italian SIGCHI Chapter (CHIItaly 2025)

Researchers, designers, and practitioners explored emerging directions in Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) under the theme “Technologies and Methodologies of Human–Computer Interaction in the Third Millennium,”. The conference highlighted innovative approaches that bridge human-centered design, artificial intelligence, and interactive technologies shaping contemporary life. Held in collaboration with ACM SIGCHI Italy, CHIItaly 2025 serves as a national and international forum for sharing cutting-edge research, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, and envisioning the future of digital interaction in academic, industrial, and societal contexts.

17th Annual International Conference on Social Robotics + AI (ICSR 2025)

This event brought together leading experts, researchers, and professionals from around the world to discuss the latest advancements in “Social Robotics and Artificial Intelligence”. The conference theme, "Emotivation at the Core: Empowering Social Robots to Inspire and Connect," highlighted the essential role of “Emotivation” in social robotics. Emotivation captures the synergy between emotion and motivation, where emotions trigger and sustain motivation during interactions. In social robotics, this concept is key to building trust, fostering empathy, and supporting decision-making by enabling robots to respond sensitively to human emotions, inspiring engagement and action.

26th ACM International Conference on Multimodal Interaction (ICMI 2024)

Bringing together multimodal artificial intelligence (AI) and social interaction research is a key mission of ICMI. Multimodal AI encompasses technical challenges in machine learning and computational modeling such as representations, fusion, data, and systems. The study of social interactions englobes both human-human interactions and human-computer interactions. This conference focused on impactful applications for the good of people and society by merging multidisciplinary approaches to interaction and design.

First Multimodal Banquet: Exploring Innovative Technology for Commensality and Human-Food Interaction (CoFI 2024)

Held in conjunction with the ICMI 2024 ACM Conference, this workshop explores how interactive technology can enrich dining experiences and foster an interdisciplinary community around commensality and human-food interaction. A special focus is on multimodal interaction among commensal partners — human or artificial.
